Purpose
Reporting to the Broker Sales Manager, the incumbent
will support the Sales team, and understand the value
chain and resolve queries set by management.
Qualifications and Experience required
B. Com degree or equivalent
NQF5 120 FAIS credits
RE 5
5 years long term insurance experience
5 years financial services industry knowledge
Minimum 3 years broker consulting experience within the
group risk or individual life
Key Areas of Responsibility

Support sales strategy and business plan for the
individual broker
Establish and manage strong relationships with brokers
including business managers
Growth of allocated broker portfolios
Assist in identifying new potential brokers and
opportunities for business growth
Awareness of competition and market information
Monthly analysis of figures down to broker level
Report at Broker Services regional meetings
Capable of building your own new broker unit
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies
Technical product knowledge long term insurance
Technical underwriting knowledge
Drive (includes energy and stamina)
Good Communication Skills (verbal and written)
Excellent inter-personal and problem-solving skills
