AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES DUTIES

1. CUSTOMER SERVICE
1.1 Customer Service Ensure that you greet your customer when they meet you at the till
Ensure that you greet EVERY customer that passes you
1.2 Walk-In customers Assist customers with general queries
1.3 Customer requests Assist customers with general requests - refer them to the correct department or staff member
1.4 Department ALWAYS ensure that there is somebody manning your area of responsibility when you leave your floor: when you are on lunch; day off; on leave or any other reason

2. STOCK MANAGEMENT (With regards to Areas allocated to you.)
2.1. Relevant Area Ensure that all stock in your area are ordered on a regular basis
2.2 Stock levels Report low stock levels to the applicable person responsible for orders
2.3 Container stock Ensure that you replenish stock from the container on the allocated days
2.4 Packaging of stock Ensure that your stock that must be packaged, is done correctly and priced

2.5 Pricing Ensure that all your stock is priced
Ensure that your shelves have shelf prices

4. MERCHANDISING
4.1 General Be responsible for merchandising of the area allocated to you
4.2 Management Work closely with staff responsible for assisting with merchandising in your isles
4.3 Replenishment Ensure that stock is replenished - daily
4.4 Marketing Ensure that all ends are merchandised according to the current running promotion

5. CLEANLINESS
5.1 Cleaning Ensure that your areas of responsibility are clean and dust free
5.2 Deep clean Deep clean twice a week

6. SALES
6.1 General Ensure that you up sell to our customers
6.2 Product Knowledge Ensure that you know your products

7. TILL POLICY
7.1 Adhere to attached till policy

Required Skills
Working as a cashier : 1 to 2 years
Candidate Requirements
At least one year cashier expierence in a FMCG retail industry.

Grade 12 will be an advantage.

Computer literate will be an advantage.
