Center Clerk - Distribution & Logistics

Job Summary:-

Center Clerk is responsible for monitoring and controlling the ground operations. To ensure that customer’s requirements are adhered to efficiently and courteously, whilst maintaining network standards and keeping costs to a minimum as stipulated in the budged.

Job Duties:

Management Reporting - Continuous, accurate and timeous reporting on issues regarding performance levels, network standards and areas of concern. Interpreting and utilizing results to motivate and improve levels of performance.
Maintaining network standard - Maintain exemplary network standards within UPS policy, with reference to collections, deliveries, manifesting and delivery details. To ensure maximum customer service is provided.
Security - Upholding strict, effective security procedures to ensure our existing and future customers can safely utilize our service.
Supporting all operations processes in the station to ensure the highest performance when and where required by the business.
To integrate quality into the business by ensuring that every customer contact is a demonstration of absolute dedication towards providing first time ideal solutions for the satisfaction of customer’s immediate and future needs.
Liaise with customers, service centers, management and staff verbally as well as in writing, thus increasing efficiency within own operating areas.

Qualifications and Job Specification KPI:-

Matric / Grade 12
South African residency permit is a must
Valid driver license and own transport
Computer Literate and systems knowledge
Ability to plan, organize, control and lead
2 years proven experience in operations
Ability to work in shifts – night and weekends
Ability to work well under pressure and independently
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
Strong customer orientation / Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated
