Minimum Requirements
RE5 certificate
Insurance qualification – at least NQF4 (preferable)
5 years experience processing HCV and GIT claims (both claims and underwriting experience is preferable)
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong administration and communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent interpersonal skills
Excellent customer service orientation

Responsibilities
Handling all administration relating to claims processing and underwriting.
Managing queries raised by policyholders, business partners and internal stakeholders in relation to claims and underwriting.
Lodging claims correctly and accurately with insurers.
Effectively managing e-mails and other correspondence received to facilitate effective claims and underwriting processing.
Managing all telephonic queries in a professional and efficient manner.
Contacting appropriate parties for outstanding documentation to process claims and underwriting.
Managing overflow inbound telephonic calls received in a professional and efficient manner.
Pro-actively provide feedback to all relevant stakeholders.
Pro-actively escalate all urgent issues and/or queries to the Claims and Underwriting Manager(s).
Updating data/information relating to the claim accurately on various systems, to facilitate the quality and completeness of claims system data.
Ad hoc administrative tasks relating to Claims and Underwriting.
Incorporating the principles of TCF into role outcome in relation to claims and underwriting queries.
