My client based in Polokwane is looking for a Depot Accountant.

Your duties will include:

Administration:

* Receive orders from customers and process these as sales orders on SAP
* Being responsible for counting stock and reconciliation
* Planning next day orders and compile trip sheets with dangerous goods.
* Being responsible for processing of invoices, inventory, credit notes and goods received notes are correct
* Reconcile customer accounts and cash received
* Prepare daily banking
* Being responsible to administer pre-printed stationary kept at the depot
* Being responsible for petty cash and cash control accounts are balancing at all times

* Maintain a good filing system at the depot

Reporting:

* Submit timely all the reports listed on the reporting deadline schedule
* Monitor and report on any other activities and provide relevant information to management

Management:

* Manage, motivate, train and develop staff according to company policies and ensure that HR procedures are followed.
* Liaise with other depot managers and departments so as to understand all necessary aspects of the depot and company.
* Carry out relief work (all depot manager responsibilities) in the depot manager's absence.

Health, Safety, Environment and Quality:

* Prepare and submit timely all HSEQ related reporting.
* Conduct daily, weekly and monthly Safety meetings and record all minutes.
* Manage health and safety, security, emergency systems/procedures, protective clothing requirements and incidents reporting according to company policies and relevant regulations.
* Manage a safe workplace with minimum risk to health.

Minimum Requirements:

* Degree / Articles in Finance or accounting
* 2 - 3 years experience
* Thorough knowledge of SAP and Microsoft packages
* Experience working in an environment which is controlled and directed by policies and procedures
* Strong communication skills
