The dispatch Team Leaders position’s role is to coordinate all day to day dispatch functions related to shipping of finished goods on time and therefore its objectives are centered on meeting timelines, efficiency and cost effectiveness. This position is a challenging role requiring a hands-on, independent self-starter who is experienced and has a strong drive for results. Your ability to drive changes and strict adherence to deadlines, your excellent supervisory skills and ability to work in a high volume environment will assist you to make a tremendous impact on the success of the team.


About You:

To be successful in this role you must have around Minimum of 3-5 years of previous distribution control experience gained working for multinational companies in a manufacturing environment. A minimum matric is required and a formal qualification in Warehouse and Logistics is preferred and will be an advantage. You will need to be accountable for work performance and set a positive example for other members of your team. You will demonstrate a high attention to detail and accuracy, creative and innovative thinking, and ability to find solutions to problems and make quick decision within defined control guidelines. To achieve strong stakeholder relationships and to achieve desired work results, you will have to demonstrate good interpersonal and communication skills as well as be customer focused and ensure that all queries are responded to within established guidelines and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Receiving and locating material from production, completing location sheets accordingly and communicating to inventory Controlled on any discrepancies
Managing the logistics in house team and the IFF dispatch team on a daily basis, issuing and planning workload accordingly for these teams
Assisting with Inventory Counts as well as conducting daily bin verifications
Planning, communicating and interacting daily with relevant departments for received finished goods and ensuring full quantity is located with shipping
Working closely with Customer Service, Dispatch controller and Receiving to facilitate the smooth transition of fragrance inventory and of Finished Goods into finished goods warehouses. Supervising the Receiving, picking and loading of stock in shipping goods warehouse
Loading and off-loading containers for received and export stock.
Coordinating the smooth performance of all shipping to ensure on time delivery as per ZoogN report. Communicating with Customer Service and Production staff as needed to achieve the plant goals in on-time performance.
Printing shipping labels and Re-labelling stocks as needed with customer shipping label ensuring that you follow ILVT procedure when labelling, as well as ensuring that IFF Procedures are followed for ILVT (Isolate, Link, Verify and Transfer) when labelling
Creating Transfer Order and creating shipping documents, conducting Post Goods Issue and invoice stock accordingly, also ensuring that all copies of Invoices are correctly distributed as per IFF Isando requirements
Attaching relevant Product C OF A to containers, also adhering to special customer requirements regarding packaging
Ensuring final packaging as per IFF Standards and customer requirements are adhered to
Loading “picked” stock onto IFF’S designated logistics vehicle or customer collection vehicle and ensuring shipping docs are endorsed as per IFF’S Isando’s requirements
Co-coordinating shipping of tolled materials onto logistics designated vehicle
Co-coordinating daily with Transporter and Security Team
Accepting customer returns and co-ordinate as per IFF Returns process
Being an active participant in FSSC, HACCP, GMP
Understanding Environmental Awareness and attending Environmental training as required by EHS.
Managing scrap notes following ILVT process.
Performing any other reasonable and lawful duties as required by the company
Supervising Transporter loading stock and Security Team checking stock before Dispatching.



Required Skills
Good verbal and written communication skills with a good command of English
Good interpersonal skills and an ability to work with people from all backgrounds and disciplines to achieve desired objective
Experience in manufacturing industry
Flexible, adaptable and manages stress well
Cultural sensitivity and customer orientation
Problem Solving and attention to details
Results Orientation and adherence to deadlines


Required Experience
A minimum Grade 12, a formal qualification in Warehousing / Logistics is preferred and will be an advantage.
At least 3-5 years of relevant working experience in multinational company
Experience in a large business high volume and ability to work in a fast paced environment with minimal supervision
Sound experience in a FMCG environment
