Monitor the events landscape for current trends and competitive insights
·
Manage overall performance of the team assigned to new business/sponsorship for events

Introduce innovative strategies for sponsorship acquisition and retention

Conducting presentations to prospects
New Business Development
Formulate an annual strategy for New Business Development in Events
Researching markets to identify opportunities for events
Producing detailed accurate proposals for events
Selling sponsorship/stand/exhibition space to potential exhibitors/partners
Varied acquisition of business for Events
Proposal drafting for all events , sponsorship and partnership acquisitions
Client Relationship Management
Create and ensure maintenance of website content and InvesTong Events related profiles . These are to be kept up to date and relevant to the market trends
Presentations to various stakeholders or new business prospects
Target clients within the government and Corporate sectors as new clientele of InvesTong Events
Work hand in hand with the Tenders Division on the compilation of Events Tenders
Draft proposals for new client acquisition and for Tender submissions
Events Project Management
Liaising with clients to ascertain their precise event requirements
Securing and booking a suitable venue or location
Price Negotiations for best prices
Supplier relationships for best Quality, reliable service and best pricing
Ensuring insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are adhered to
coordinating venue management, caterers, stand designers, contractors and equipment hire;
organising facilities for car parking, traffic control, security, first aid, hospitality and the media;
planning room layouts and the entertainment programme, scheduling workshops and demonstrations
coordinating staffing requirements and team management
preparing delegate packs and papers
coordinating suppliers, handling client queries and troubleshooting on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly
post - event evaluation (including data entry and analysis and producing reports for event stakeholders).
Ensure a smooth and efficient functioning InvesTong Events Division
Ensure every event is run successfully with targets reached and profits made
Assess Possible risk factors for each project and implement solutions to avoid such factors
Conceptualize in-house Events and execute effectively
Plan the Events Calendar
Marketing
Position InvesTong Events Brand strongly within the market alongside the marketing management team
Create a brand for each event and organizing the production of tickets, posters, catalogues and sales brochures, plus social media coverage;
Populating a database and analyzing the database for accurate target marketing and making use of the information for strategic growth
Strategizing and executing a plan for database creation within all events for Marketing purposes
Create National & International Foot print of InvesTong Events as the preferred Events Management company
Facilitation and execution of all marketing avenues such as Social Media, Newsletters, SMS…
Draft and execute an effective Digital Marketing strategy which translates into increased Brand awareness of InvesTong Events alongside the marketing team.
Come up with innovative marketing tools to grow the InvesTong Events division
To market and publicize the event in a way that it will attract a huge crowd, thus ensuring success and yielding increased revenue and profits
Ensure weekly Marketing plans are in place and executed for Events.
Compile content for media press releases , social media marketing and any other marketing medium requiring content
Leadership
Every member within the InvesTong Events Team will report into this role
Structure the InvesTong Events Division and all team members
Build rapport with the team
Create a motivated and high performing team
Ensure you receive daily , weekly and monthly reports from your subordinates
Set targets for each member and ensure they are met
Ensure Quarterly and annual revenue targets are achieved and have a clear plan on how these targets will be met
General
Assist other divisions as and when required
Working irregular hours as and when required
Ensure all deadlines are met
Submitting daily , weekly and monthly reports to Direct Line Manager
Providing Stakeholder reports
Strategic planning
Meeting KPI Targets
Extensive Travel as and when required
Delegate Tasks to subordinates
Candidate Requirements
Requirements:
At least 3 years' experience in sponsorship management at a senior level. Preferably within the Events Management industry
Matric and a diploma or degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field
Proven track record or sponsors acquired and Events managed
