Field Guides

Five star lodge situated on private game reserve requires level 1 and 2 Field Guides who will be responsible for the following:

Conduct an advanced game drive experience (2 x 3 hours daily)
Host guests at certain meals and other relevant times
Responsible for the maintenance and up keep of vehicles and equipment/assets
Carry out stand by duties and other activities undertaken by guests
Perform duties as required by the Field Guide Department
Work independently and unsupervised for majority of time

Skills and Requirements
Requirements include:

FGASA level 2 and/or trails/specialist qualification or related tertiary education
At least 2 years’ experience dealing with big five game and five star clientele

Code B or EB driver’s license
Valid PDP
SASETTA firearms competency
Valid first aid certificate
DEAT registered 4x4 driving Trails guide
Advanced weapons handling qualification preferable
People orientated personality
Good general knowledge of current affairs both locally and internationally
