Graphic Designer

Our client a Water Systems Company seeks a dedicated Graphic Designer with up-to-date knowledge of how to interpret our clients’ needs and to design solutions with high visual impact.

The ideal candidate would have experience on a variety of products, including websites, brochures, newsletters, exhibitions, corporate identity etc. and you will cooperate with our strategic partners designers and sales team.

The graphic designer job description includes the entire process of defining requirements, visualizing and creating graphics including illustrations, logos, layouts and photos. The ideal candidate’s graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the right message.

We require the successful candidate to have a creative flair and a strong ability to translate requirements into design, have strong communication skills and work methodically as part of a team.

Duties & Responsibilities
Study design briefs and determine requirements

Liaise with Marketing, Sales, Design and Content teams to optimize customer experience and ensure brand consistency

Stay up-to-date with digital technologies developments

Schedule projects and define budget constraints

Work with copywriters and creative director to produce final design

Liaise with Media outlets and submit relevant artwork

Ensure final graphics and layouts are visually appealing and on-brand

Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts

Prepare rough drafts and present your ideas

Amend final designs to clients’ comments and gain full approval

Desired Experience & Qualification
• Matric

• Qualification in Design, or equivalent

• Demonstrable graphic design skills with a strong portfolio

• Familiarity with design software and technologies (such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Web Design, WordPress and HTML)

• Take pictures and document events

• Demonstrable experience with SEO/SEM and CRM software

• Up to date with industry leading software and technologies (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop etc.)

• Valid Driver’s License

• No criminal record

• Medically Fit
