Handyman

Purpose of the Role

The Handyman will be responsible for all preventative and reactive maintenance at the Office . The role includes general maintenance (outside and inside various office buildings) and general office administration.

Qualifications

Grade 10

Experience

Two years’ proven handyman experience with general, electrical and plumbing maintenance.

Knowledge and skills

The ability to work with equipment and power tools such as impact drilling machines, electrical grinders, circular saws’, high pressure cleaners, screw drivers, hammers, levels, painting equipment, etc.
Good communications skills is essential
The ability to work with office equipment such as photocopiers, shredders, binders, etc.
Knowledge of general office/clerical administration
Basic numeric & literacy skills
Basic computer skills (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel)

Additional Requirements

Code 08 driver’s license
Often required to work irregular hours (Shifts may apply)
Ability to cope with normal day-to-day stresses and the ability to work under pressure
Clear criminal and credit record
