Are you an expert in Health and Safety Management Systems ? We are looking for a Health and Safety Management System advisor to align our client's internal Health and Safety Management System (HSMS)to ISO 45001.
Two (2) Year Contract
JOB OUTPUTS
Development of ISO45001 compliant system, inclusive of procedures and operational documentation,
Training and mentorship of top management with regards to the HSMS
Identifying and appointment of key personnel in various departments for the effective roll out and implementation of the HSMS
Training operational staff on the HSMS requirements and implementation,
Administration and record keeping within a typical server and/or cloud-based software solution environment,
Conducting regular inspections and audits throughout all operational areas,
OHS related Contractor management;
Regular Client reporting and engagement wrt progress and performance of the HSMS
Regular stakeholder engagement (both internal and external to the Clients facility),
Assist with Hazard identification and risk assessment in various operational departments in relation to the HSMS,
Assist with incident management and investigation
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS AND QUALITIES
Tertiary Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety Management
OHSAS18001 or ISO45001 training certificate
Professional OHS Training & Development (Short Courses)
Professional Membership (SACPCMP / SAIOSH), or other
Expert knowledge of the OHS Act and Regulations including practical interpretation and application of the legislation
5 - 10 years OHS facilities management working experience at a management level
Demonstrable knowledge and experience of developing and implementing OHSAS 18001 (ISO45001)
Drivers Licence
COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
This position will be suitable for a mature individual who can work within a highly complex and geographically dispersed environment
Client focused irt service delivery: be able to deliver services on time, within budget and to quality expectations
Be able to support the Clients internal teams with suitable HSMS related training and mentorship
The ability to observe, interpret, understand and report on OHS aspects at a senior level
The ability to simplify complex systems requirements into practical activities
The ability to multi-task, coordinate and facilitate multiple stakeholders and working groups
The ability to work independently, and with teams
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal & non-verbal, presentation) at a variety of levels
The ability to inspire and influence others through passion and expertise within OHS management
The ability to apply OHS principles over a variety of operational areas
