Makeup Artist - mrp

Mrp are looking for a talented Makeup Artist who will combine his/her creative and technical expertise and passion to provide a desired visual result for our mrp photo shoots.

This role will not only be about applying make up to models, but to give you an idea; here is what the role will entail;

Hair & makeup on models

Bear in mind the look and feel of the brand when putting together hair and make up;
Understand Mr Price personality and keeping up with current trends;
Ensure that a cohesive look is formed with the models to establish brand identity;
Ensure your work aligns with Marketing and the rest of the company to ensure;
Researching hair and makeup trends depending on the season and brands the company is shooting to make sure the trend is maintained;
purchasing and updating all the makeup & hair products used in the studio to ensure stock levels are maintained;
doing credit card recons of everything bought for the studio every month to keep track of expenses

Model Bookings

Speaking to stylists at the end of every week and co-ordinating the shoots with times and amounts of models to ensure demand is satisfied
contacting agencies and free-lance models to make bookings daily depending on the shoot for the day;
scouting for models and bringing them in for castings to obtain approval;
liaising withmodels and their parents on the process of a casting and first shoots and showing them around the building with the goal of orientating them;
negotiating rates for models, getting management approval and then finalising the bookings including flight bookings through the travel department in order for them to attend at head office;
receiving invoices from agencies, creating invoices for free-lance models and cross-checking them against the model book so that it can be submitted for processing and payment.
Requirements for this role;

Diploma in Makeup Artistry
At least 1 year experience working with different skin types, tones and different textures of hair
Experience Agency/model booking
