Our client in the ICT and business solutions sector is now recruiting for the position of Product Manager, who will be in charge of Surveillance and Access Control products. This will include managing the assigned portfolio in liaison with sales and support teams, and handling everything from increasing profitability of existing products to developing new products. Training and vendor management is also critical to this position.
Duties & Responsibilities
Developing an understanding of the marketplace and competitive landscape
Developing a multiyear product road map based on criteria
Assisting in driving the annual product strategy and roadmap
Assisting sales teams and franchises in creating a value proposition to the market
Implementing local product strategy based on the market segmentation model
Designing market research projects to assess customer attitudes to the current product range
Maintaining expert knowledge on the relevant product industry and trends
Keeping up to date on new developments regarding competitor products
Managing product life cycle stages
Developing products, etc.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Matric
Suitable business qualification diploma or degree with strong accounting focus
At least 2 to 5 years marketing and product management experience
Full understanding of the marketing and business concepts surrounding CCTV and Access Control, Time and attendance as well as Mobile Vehicle Monitoring Solutions
Track record in commercial relationship building.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Project management skills
Strong organisational skills
Must be able to work under pressure.\
Must be a self-driven and motivated person
Must be a team player
Able to travel extensively
