Continue to APPLY!We are currently interviewing for a Programme Coordinator for an exciting Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) label recently introduced in to South Africa by WESSA. Green Key is an international eco-label for tourism establishments demonstrating excellence in the field of environmental responsibility and sustainable operations. The position will be based at the WESSA office in Cape Town. Duties & Responsibilities
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS INCLUDE:
Support the General Manager to coordinate the Green Key South Africa Programme in line
with the unit’s budget and the requirements of FEE.
Coordination of all administration for the programme using the Podio online platform as per FEE and WESSA needs.
Providing marketing and sales of the label which include visits to potential properties, promotion of the award on social media platforms, writing of press releases, and the coordination of the production of brochures and online advertising.
Delivery of targeted Green Key campaigns to develop and grow the programme with strategic partners in South Africa.
Identify future growth prospects for the programme.
Desired Experience & Qualification
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
3-year tertiary qualification in Business Management/ Sustainable Tourism/ Environmental Management or related fields
3-5 years of experience in environmental certification or management systems, sales and administrative experience preferably in the tourism market or hospitality sector is required
Strong administration and organisational skills, with a flair for multi-tasking
Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to interact confidently with external stakeholders
Key personal skills: initiative, self-motivation and self-management
Excellent Microsoft Office Skills
Valid driver’s license essential with demonstrated competent driving skills
Be prepared to travel extensively throughout South Africa due to the marketing and stakeholder management aspect of the role.
