Researching and recommending new opportunities and service improvements
Keeping abreast of trends and developments in the catering/hospitality industry
Representing the company at trade exhibitions, conferences, meetings and networking events
Liaising with marketing department in customer surveys for contract and once off sales
Maintaining and developing contact with professional bodies
Service Excellence and Relationship Management
Maintaining relationships with clients by providing support, information, and guidance
Maintaining strong business relationships with all new/existing clients to optimize customer satisfaction and repeat sales opportunities
Working closely with other divisions in a way that encourages repeat business
Reporting, Providing management with weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual sales activity report
Staffing and Supervision, Taking lead in the recruitment of a competent sales team as and when required
Ensuring that the sales team maintains high standards in performance and appearance
Enhancing staff accomplishments and competence by coaching and mentoring team members Leading, organizing and motivating the team
Encouraging and challenging the sales team to be creative and innovative and recognizing them for their for their success
Solving staff problems as they arise
Contracts Management, Negotiating, managing, monitoring and maintaining contracts Liaising with other departments in resolving customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to senior management
Servicing existing accounts, obtaining orders, and establishing new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors
Setting financial budgets and targets for outlets and sales team, individually and separately
Achieving annual/contract profit targets
