SA Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind

Full-time, Permanent
This role will support the Head of Marketing (HOD) primarily through the design and implementation of digital strategy to raise the profile of SA Guide-Dogs Association amongst key external audiences. The incumbent must have fantastic communications skills, excellent time management and be detail oriented.

Strategy and Planning:
· Design a digital strategy to support regional and national marketing strategies.
· Stay informed of market, industry and fundraising trends
· Create and manage social media campaigns for all events and fundraising initiatives.
· Grow social media following.
· Idea generation for new income generating events.
· Adhoc administrative support within the department.
Campaign & Event Management:
· Assist with all event planning and execution.
Content Management:
Assist team with producing content for social media – this includes but not limited to: Taking Photos / Videos during training sessions, following up with Puppy Raisers to get up-to-date photos and stories for Dog Sponsors, taking photos and videos at events and activations.
Relationships and partner with key media players
Build and maintain good relationships with partners, sponsors and donors.
Assist in maintaining current media contact lists
Contribute towards media stories to promote campaigns and activities
Represent the Association at regional events when required
Tracking and Reporting:
Track all digital performance and produce statistics and reports for all events, campaigns, posts, etc. after each event and monthly
POPIA
o Ensure that all digital activity is in line with POPIA and the Association’s POPIA Policy requirements
Experience:
Digital strategy creation and implementation experience
Strong organisation and planning experience
Experience in content management and creative writing
Experience in project management an advantage
Exceptional time management
Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practice in effective charity marketing
Skills & Qualifications:
· Must have a qualification in Social Media Management.
· At least five to six years in a similar role.
· Strong Administrative Skills and highly organised.
· Good people skills. Confident in speaking on the phone and face to face at various events and activations.
· Valid driver’s license essential
Aptitude:
· Self-Motivated, Enthusiastic and Energetic.
· Must be able to take instruction well and really want to learn within the role.
· Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
· Committed to helping people who are visually impaired, physically disabled or children on the low end of the autism spectrum.
· Able to relate with disabled people and people of all ages
· Comfortable interacting with dogs including, but not limited to, looking after dogs in office, taking a dog to talks, schools, events, film/photo shoots etc.
Working Relationships and Hours:
· Ability to work flexible hours, including weekend when required
· This role is permanently based in the Johannesburg office
· Establish good relationships with staff, puppy-raisers, clients and media
· Interact with high-value individual members and donors
Assist at events: setting up stands and carrying of equipment etc.
