Fleet Maintenance

Prepare monthly reports for management to illustrate Fleet maintenance work carried out on all vehicles & plant.
Keep files & records of the company’s trucks and plant maintenance requirements, warrantees and services in line with relevant legislation (i.e. road traffic legislation).
Work closely with owner and Financial Manager in purchasing of new vehicles and sales of older vehicles.
Do a regular inspection of vehicles to ensure vehicles are in good mechanical and physical condition i.e. maintenance, panel beating, corporate signage (up keeping the company’s high standard). As well as cleanliness – ensure drivers & conductors are keeping vehicles clean.
Keep administration records/files of maintenance warrantees.
Source adhoc transporters and maintain compliance and relationship where required.

Monitor driving behaviour and violations weekly (trucks, plant & vehicles) using fleet report using GPSTS for violations and any suspicious behaviour. Report to HR.
Oversee accident/incident investigations and relevant insurance claim procedures..
Sourcing Production shop products and new machines. New tools and replacement of tools and parts when necessary.
Doing Custom Jobs for the owner, including sourcing of machines and products along with Research and International supplier contact. Overseeing projects such as building maintenance and new projects around the warehouse.

Keep electronic & files - hard copies of drivers license & pdf expiry dates.
Ensuring job cards are done accurately en on time by in house mechanics.
Compiling log sheet summaries for all plant & trucks on a weekly basis, to ensure invoicing is done promptly.
Proficient in Excel.
