Aveng Trident Steel centrally situated in Roodekop, Germiston and other facilities in Durban, Port Elizabeth, Rosslyn and Cape Town provide a wide product range to the steel industry in South Africa as well as internationally from our extensive steel yards, modern and comprehensive steel processing, service centers, special steel division.
The incumbent will be responsible to co-ordinate, support and administer general Human Resource functions and render specific administrative support to internal and external customers. Provides advice, guidance and direction to line management in respect of all people management processes and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
• A diploma or degree in HR or people management studies or equivalent
• SAP HR experience
EXPERIENCE:
• At least 3-5 years related work experience in the HR environment (other jobs that prepared the incumbent for this job)
Duties & Responsibilities
• Understanding of the entire HR Processes (including but not limited to Recruitment, Job Grading, Employee Relations, Training and Development and Compensation and Benefits)
• Ensure effective coordination of the workforce planning, recruitment, selection, probation, change of status and exit processes
• Ensure the integrity and accuracy of HR data to enable critical business decision making by management
• Responsible for the provision of an effective recruitment and selection function
• Supporting and championing of the Talent Management processes
• Assist the Training and Develop Manager in co-ordination of employee training and skills development and administration of all Transformation and BBBEE processes
• Responsible for the collation of adhoc and HR monthly reports
• Coordinate and facilitate employees / candidate interviews and debriefs
• Coordinate and collect results for any necessary candidate assessments
• Provides administrative support to employee relations management
• Plan, organise, communicate and monitor the HR Service within the business
• Develop and promote feedback mechanisms for employees to influence the continuous improvement of HR services and processes
• Support line managers in forecasting and planning their talent pipeline requirements in line with the function / business strategy
• Assist with facilitation of Performance Management understanding and give Line support
• Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve the HR policies and initiatives
• Maintains a logical record keeping and filing system

• Excellent MS Office skills
• Has excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to build and maintain effective relationships at all levels within the organisation
• Meticulous, detailed, well-organized and able to work independently to meet datelines
• Has a high level of integrity and able to work with confidential and sensitive information
• Keeps abreast and up-to-date with HR trends and industry wide development
